You’re the target. Getting the setup right You can’t just throw any heater up there and hope for the best. Since the distance from the ceiling to the floor is so great, you need some serious power. We focus on wattage density and the angle of the beam. If the power is too low, the heat fades before it ever reaches the person below. To keep things efficient, we use quartz-glass envelopes. It sounds fancy, but it basically just means the heat can pass through the glass without getting blocked. The practical side of things Now, there are a few things to keep in mind during installation. First, these units pull a lot of power. You’ll need to make sure your electrical panel and breakers can handle that initial surge. Then there’s the placement. These lamps get hot—really hot. You can’t put them right next to a plastic sign or anything flammable. But you also can’t mount them too high, or you lose that cozy, luxury feeling. And if they’re too low?
