If you’re running SACMI rotary machines, you know they move fast. Really fast. In that kind of environment, every single second it takes for your heating lamps to hit the right temperature counts. If they lag, your cycle time suffers and your preforms start acting up. That’s exactly why we built our PETC lamps. We wanted to kill that lag. The heat, the speed, and the “cold-start” headache To get the kind of heat flux needed for fast-cycling PET, we pushed the wattage-to-length ratio higher. When you go with a high-voltage setup, the climb to peak temperature happens much faster. Why does that matter? Because it stops that annoying “cold-start” variance. You know the one—where the first few bottles come out with uneven walls because the heat wasn’t quite there yet. Plus, these are drop-in replacements. They fit your existing wiring and OEM specs perfectly, so you aren’t rewiring your whole floor just to get a better lamp. The guts of the lamp We use high-purity quartz glass and halogen gas fills. Here’s the thing: the halogen cycle stops tungsten from evaporating and clouding the glass. This means the infrared heat keeps punching through the tube for thousands of hours without fading. We also don’t mess around with the connectors. Whether your socket takes R7s or SK15, we make sure the fit is tight. A loose connection is a nightmare—it creates resistance, the terminal overheats, and before you know it, you’ve burned out a socket. A quick word of caution Now, these high-density lamps put out a massive amount of heat very quickly. But that puts a real load on your cooling system. Just make sure your oven’s ventilation can handle the extra thermal output. You don’t want to risk overheating your machine’s frame or messing up the preform carriage. The bottom line on physics We spent a lot of time obsessing over the tungsten coil diameter to reduce “thermal inertia.” In plain English? The lamp hits its operating temperature in seconds, not minutes. You get a stable heat profile almost instantly. That means way less scrap during ramp-up and a lot less stress for your operators.
