The “Two Millimeter” Nightmare Here is the thing about quartz tubes: they aren’t forgiving. If a lamp is off by even two millimeters, it won’t seat right. These push the heat back toward the preform and keep it away from the oven walls. Your cooling system will thank you. A Few Real-World Tips Installation is easy. Depending on your model, you’ll use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. No weird adapters required. But a quick heads-up: if you decide to bump up the wattage to squeeze out more production speed, watch your temps. More wattage means more heat density. If your ventilation isn’t crystal clear, that ambient heat builds up and can actually warp your reflectors. Keep the air moving, and you’re golden.
