Most of the time, the problem is just a lack of IR energy density. You don’t need a total overhaul. You just need better lamps. Switching out your worn-out tubes for precision shortwave lamps can often bring back the speed you lost years ago. Let’s talk about the heat. Wattage and voltage aren’t just specs on a datasheet. They’re what actually get your PET to that sweet spot where it’s ready to blow. We build our replacements to hit a very specific energy flux. Here’s the trick: if you move to a higher wattage lamp without changing the size of the tube, you’re pushing more heat into the plastic, faster. That means you can crank up the conveyor speed or even shut down a few heating zones. Just a heads-up—check your power supply first. If you jump up in wattage, make sure your wiring and panels can handle the extra load. You don’t want to be staring at a tripped breaker in the middle of a shift.
